Why I Gifted Myself a Ritual Kit (and Don’t Regret It)

I don’t usually buy things on impulse—especially not for myself.
But something about the Dream Ritual Art kit spoke to me the moment I saw it.

Maybe it was the timing. I had just gone through a season of endings—quiet, invisible ones. Friendships that faded. A project that didn’t work out. A sense of inner fog I couldn’t shake. I wasn’t in crisis, but I was drifting.

So I did something I rarely do. I gifted something to myself.
Something sacred. Something small and intentional.

When the ritual kit arrived, it felt like opening a letter from an old friend. Inside were beautifully chosen items—herbs wrapped in soft cloth, handmade art pieces, a candle, a simple altar cloth, and a guide full of dream prompts, creative exercises, and step-by-step rituals. Everything was thoughtful. Nothing was rushed.

That night, I created a space just for me.

I followed the ritual instructions gently. No pressure to do it “right.” I lit the candle, journaled a recent dream, and let my hand move across the page, sketching the strange bird that had appeared in my sleep. I placed a stone from the kit beside it and whispered something I hadn’t said out loud in months: I want to feel connected again.

And I did.
Not in a big, dramatic way.
But in that deep, subtle way that rituals work. Like tuning back into a frequency you forgot was always there.

Now, I use the kit every full moon. Sometimes it’s a full ritual. Sometimes it’s just lighting the candle, holding the stone, and breathing. Either way, it reminds me of something essential: I deserve to be in conversation with my soul.

I’ve since gifted two more kits—one to my sister, one to a client. But the first one I gave to myself.
And I don’t regret it. Not for a second.
